"I've developed a unique view at the game of tennis, thanks to growing up on the stadium with my father - one of the best athletes / coaches in Czechoslovakia, University education, love, and passion for the sport in general. I've spent a lot of time educating myself every possible way and still do to stay updated. Living and coaching in 4 different continents with base in 6 different countries gave me so much. I have great will to win, always had appetite for the game and rivalry, which drives me forward. I try to use different methods to transfer these attributes also on to my players. When I first see a player, I'm patiently looking forward trying to get the future vision of the player with his full potential. I'm not affraid to change, improve or rebuild a player if it's necessary for him to become successful. Maybe the most specific about my coaching philosophy is, that in this sometimes aggressive and strongly individual sport, I'm trying to apply a team strategies and coaching techniques, building a team spirit, and winning fair. Perhaps, it is because my work is not only inspired by the best tennis coaches, but also strongly influenced by methodology & sport psychology used by soccer coaches Sir Alex Ferguson, and Jose Mourinho (build discipline through friendship and trust; require individual effort...but team work, use mind game / motivation into winning strategy).

I believe that, it is my role as a tennis coach not only to manage the player's athletic development, but also to be there for them, when they need me. Understanding players off court issues helps me to find out who they are, who do they want to be, and whom can I help them to become." JS
